Services: Male Prosthetic Surgery - Penile Prosthesis

Penile prosthesis implantation involves the surgical insertion of two cylinders into the corporal bodies of the penis. Depending on the type of prosthesis used, a one-inch incision will be made either vertically in the midline of the upper scrotum or horizontally behind the tip of the penis. These incisions will be closed with dissolving invisible stitches buried beneath the skin. There will be no stitches that have to be removed.

The specific prosthesis which would be best for you is discussed during our consultation. It is at this time that your particular situation will be reviewed and all available options discussed. A complete history, physical examination and review of your medical records will also be done at this time. I might also suggest further testing to determine the best option for you.
